It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Holiday season is a time for celebration, togetherness, and tradition. From baking to traveling, these traditions bring people closer together.
For junior Celeste Kwan, holidays mean heading to her grandparent’s house in Michigan. Similarly, Masha Lekovic travels to Slovenia to reunite with her extended family and hit the slopes for some skiing. Additionally, Caroline Hardart heads to Sea Island, Georgia to visit her extended family.
Baking is also a big part of the holiday spirit. Colette Ungvary and her mom bake a festive yule log cake. Colette’s family also adds some fun by hiding a pickle ornament on Christmas Eve; whoever finds it wins an extra gift! Meanwhile, Zoe Loader visits Nature’s Cradle to pick out the perfect Christmas tree with her family.
History teacher Ms. Gambino shared that she celebrates with a feast of seven fishes, an Italian tradition that brings loved ones together. English teacher Mr. Cross enjoys a classic Christmas morning, with opening stockings and eating a sweet breakfast.
