Bronxville’s K-12 Art Festival

On May 19th and 20th, Bronxville hosted its annual K-12 Art Festival. This celebration of student talent featured a wide array of performances, exhibits, and activities that highlighted the fine and performing arts programs at the school.

The festival kicked off on Monday May 19th with live music performances on the front lawn, the Bronxville Arts merch sale, and an ice cream truck. The excitement continued into Tuesday, May 20th, with the Fine Arts Show. High school art students’ work was displayed in the auditorium and atrium, showcasing their talent.

That evening, Open Mic Night took center stage as students from the high school took to the outdoor stage on the front lawn. The event also included special appearances from the high school jazz band and a lively performance from the middle school cast of The Little Mermaid. Surrounding the performances, art stations and food trucks added to the festive atmosphere.

Anette Dani, who performed “Spring Into Summer” by Lizzy McAlpine with Colette Ungvary shared her thoughts on Open Mic Night, “It was such a good experience and so fun to get the community together and hear the different performances.”

The K-12 Art Festival is a great tradition in Bronxville, providing students with the opportunity to share their talents while bringing the school and larger community together.
